For dinner / Mr Vain
Well, this one is was difficult. Fortitude Valley has truly cemented itself as the premier precinct for wining and dining, home to some of the best establishments in Australia. For this recommendation, we’re going with Mr Vain. This pan-asian dining venue is nestled right in the heart of Fortitude Valley, and offers unique al la carte and set menu options, complete with a variety of entertainment throughout the week. Mr Vain combines two of the things we here at Hotel X love the most about The Valley, the music scene and thoughtfully curated experiences. Be sure to check out what’s on at Mr Vain next time you’re in Brisbane (this week it’s $3 oysters!).

For a sweet treat / BROOKI’S BAKEHOUSE
Now this one isn’t much of a secret, but we cannot leave out Brooki’s Bakehouse. It’s amazing the magic that a cookie, a heart shaped cake and a devoted owner can create. Brooki’s Bakehouse is located just a short walk from Hotel X, where you will find the most delectable treats, including the famous crookie (that’s right – a croissant and cookie hybrid). Rumour has it, Brooki’s has just released a biscoff flavour and it’s a must try for your next trip to Brisbane.
